Civil Design, Planning and Engineering
Our staff has participated in various projects involving land development, transportation, drainage, flood control, public works, water/wastewater conveyance, environmental sensitivity, intricated encroachment permitting. We have specialized experience in projects involving technical challenges, utility constraints, alternatives evaluation and risk planning for costly infrastructure projects such as CSO tunnels, drop shaft structures, diversion structures etc.
Facilities Design
We partner with architects, contractors, public and private developers and owners to prepare designs for new buildings, additions, and supporting infrastructure.
Our team provides private industry as well as federal, state, and local government agencies with the expertise and resources necessary to develop large- and small-scale facilities projects. CSO Tunnel Projects
SIECOM senior engineers were part of the project management team for several noteworthy Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) Tunnel projects such as:
- Allegheny County Sanitary Authority (ALCOSAN) preliminary planning of the three (3) tunnel project (i.e., Ohio River Tunnel (ORT), Monongahela River Tunnel (MRT), Allegheny River Tunnel (ART)
- Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District (NEORSD) Dugway Storage Tunnel Project, Cleveland, OH
- DC Water Potomac River Tunnel (PRT) Design-Build project
Environmental Engineering and Permit Compliance
SIECOM offers services in watershed management, flood protection, erosion/sedimentation control, resources preservation, and environmental permitting. Our in-depth understanding of the fundamentals of watershed planning and municipal engineering has led to innovative, feasible, and cost-effective design solutions for our clients.
SIECOM provides turnkey services including technical analysis, preliminary planning, final design and permitting (e.g., NPDES, DEP Chapter 105 permits, Water Quality Management (WQM) Sewage Modules, WQM, Public Water Supply (PWS), Sewage Facilities Planning Modules (SFPM), HOPs, etc.)
SIECOM engineers developed many of the analytical and design procedures accepted by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), Department of Transportation (DOTs) as well as numerous municipal agencies.
Construction Management Services
Acting as an extension of the project owner’s staff, our team delivers better projects to improve schedule performance, while minimizing client risk by facilitating communication among project stakeholders and solving problems before they impact the job.
Our construction management resources provide a single-source point of reference for our clients as well as an instant resource to the project manager in the field, allowing us to seamlessly deliver projects on time and on budget.
Our staff is well-experienced in providing pre-construction support services such as scheduling, estimating, constructability reviews, value engineering, as well as project management and inspection during the construction phase. From concept to design and scheduling to construction, we provide continuity throughout the entire process.
